For unknown reasons, X1's OC scan fails after about 40 seconds, saying the GPU is busy. So outta the proverbial pan into the figurative fire.īUMPING this issue, reported today with NVIDIA support (ref # 620954)Īctivation context generation failed for "C:\Program Files (x86)\NVIDIA Corporation\nTune\MFC80.DLL". It's the future now (2014), but NVID and Microsoft still reign as supreme and suck as hard as ever. So, I'm googling, as I'm having this issue with ntunecmd's error-generating DLL. In module PrecisionXServerHooks_圆4.dll at 0033:be9f17b8.Quite technical here, manual voltage config via BIOS? *ScaredStiffFace PrecisionXServerHooks_圆4.dll caused an Access Violation (0xc0000005) Here is what was reported in the crash logs for reference: I'm assuming something similar will happen with MSI Afterburner if you have anything related to the OSD enabled, so that's something to keep an eye on if you're crashing for some reason. (Here is an attached screenshot of my current settings in PrecisionX: ) When I made sure nothing OSD related was checked and restarted EVGA PrecisionX the game ran fine. The best way to stop the crashes if you're using PrecisionX is to make sure that nothing related to the OSD is checked in the Monitor Settings. Apparently the cause was the on-screen display which doesn't display anything onscreen unless you want it to, but still hooks into whatever game you're playing regardless. Looking in the crash logs for what could possibly be causing the crash, I found that EVGA PrecisionX, which I previously did not have installed, was causing an access violation and that was the reason for the crashing.

I reinstalled Subnautica, however when I ran it the game reported a crash. I recently upgraded my processor and completely reinstalled everything on my machine.
